Make your own patchwork cushion cover with insert!

• Saturday 12th April 2025

• 40 × 40cm cushion with woolroom insert (if you would like to make a larger cushion please get in touch in advance and there will be an additional fee to cover the cost of a more expensive insert)

• Some previous sewing experience is beneficial but not completely necessary. If you are unsure as to whether this class would be suitable for you, please get in touch first, studio@bugclothing.co.uk

• This is an 6 hour workshop, from 10am - 4pm with a one hour break for lunch

• Workshop location will be at my studio in Ladywell, South London (5 minutes walk from Ladywell station, 30 minute walk from Brockley station, 14 minute walk from Lewisham station OR there is parking available nearby which I think is free on weekends)

• Light refreshments such as tea and coffee and fruit will be provided. Bring your own lunch or you can visit Ladywell village to grab something which is only a short walk away

• All materials and tools are provided

  Outline of the day

• 10-11am: selecting materials/offcuts and colour palettes, chatting about design

• 10-10.30am: preparing all of our tools and notions and setting up the machines

• 10.30am - 1pm: sewing patchwork pieces together and cutting back panels

• 1-2pm: lunch

• 2-4pm: sewing front and back together, adding button holes and sewing on buttons or tie fastenings
